My K3 GSXR600 has stood for alomst a year in my works multi-storey car park and now I've finally got time to get her sorted and back on the road, what can i expect to need doing? So far I've got listed:
New battery
oil and filter change
air filter clean/change
What about the chain? Its a dirty area, enclosed with cars using it every day so the dust/crap floating around is pretty bad, would it be worth fitting a new chain anyway?
And is there anything else I might need to get done?
I know im terrible for leaving her for so long but with a recent house move, shift change and holiday she kinda got pushed to bottom of the list
Thanks in advance ____________________ GSXR600 K3 and its love.... |

Just clean the chain.
My bro's k3 sat in our garage for just under 1.5 years.
He cleaned the chain, charged the battery and started riding it. ____________________ '56 Yamaha MT-01

If you didn't bother draining the carbs you'll have to flush the entire fuel system, dismantle your carbs and clean the jets, they'll be chock full of sediment.
A new fuel filter might not be a bad idea, too.
