your right it does come over a bit snotty, sorry what i meant was i would rather talk about the bike i have and know a little about, after all it is NSR125.com, than Rs's and mopeds. i know the 400cc sites are linked and thats fine, i don't mind reading any posts from them as we all want a big bike eventually, but you must admit its getting a bit anoying when every other post is from some muppet badmouthing us nsr riders. and i am not judging anyone by their bike,as i commented about Keith an RS owner. And no i am not going to talk to you unless you are actually sat on an NSR while using your keyboard.(he,he,he) sorry if i offend anyone but the fact is i believe that this is an NSR site, as it started out and i don't go onto an rs or moped, site slagging off their machine,so i get a bit miffed when they come onto ours. |

 |
|
Hi At the end of the day, enjoy the bike you have. All have there good points (even an MZ), and styling is very personal (personally I think the 916 is pig ugly, and the Mito lookalike of it looks far better, but plenty of people disagree with me there). The difference in performance between different full power 125s is small, and variable. OK, an RS might be quicker on top speed than an NSR, but then the NSR might well be quicker on acceleration than the RS. Play around with the gearing and this may well change. Stick a nutter on either and you may well get into the situation where you are happy to let them go. Bikes are bikes, and fun (but a chilly way to commute at the moment!). If I see a bike stopped possibly needing a hand then I will stop to see if I can help, even if it is a Vespa. We have enough people trying to drive us off bikes, whether they be myopic Volvo drivers or Friends of the Earth, to let "slagging off" get any more serious than a bit of friendly banter Oh, and since I bored my RS out to 2,000,000cc using a piston from a Tornado (machined from solid unobtanium) I keep getting R1's stuck in the radiator causing it to overheat......any advice All the best Keith |
