I'd been emailing a guy with his FZR600 on eBay wanting a swap for a 4 stroke road trail bike.

So we'd been emailing about swapping it for my KLR 250. The auction finished today, so I got a txt proposing we met at 15:30, which was only 4 hours later.

I thought, great, swift deal.
Bought the insurance I'd been quoted for and set off.

Off I went, 55miles to the meeting point. I wouldn't have minded the distance.

He arrived, got off, took the KLR out, came back..."Well it's not as quick as I thought it was going to be".
He then stood in silence staring at it for about 20 minutes before saying "I think I'll leave it actually mate".

I wouldn't mind if my bike wasn't as described, or if his was worth more. The FZR had a very square rear tyre, rusty frame, no tax etc.
Then I got home, cancelled the insurance, and incurred a £30 charge for doing so. Wankers. And the bitch on the phone was rude.

So let that be a lesson to us all, if the guy can't spell in his eBay auctions, he's probably a twat.

That's £30 + a tank of fuel gone.

Did you get to bitchslap the turd before he left wasting your time.. and money....
Fzr's are a few years old now, so int it normal for the rust.

The bike was OK for what it was. I would have done the deal. But he was umming and ahhing like he was considering swapping his 98 R1.

When in reality it was a rattyish 18 year old bike with a square tyre, 35k miles and no tax.
Our bikes were worth about the same amount, and he knew what bike I was bringing, and mine's a fairly decent example of one.
