there shouldnt really be any oil in with the flywheel (AFAIK).

could be crank seals? if so, its a big job.

is it that bad? could you just live with it?

you will probably need a flywheel puller, and something to lock the flywheel as you loosen the centre nut.

what bike is it?

cracked engine block is possible with a snapped chain flying off.

Hi

Presume this is your XR100.

Not 100% sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if the flywheel cover does hold some oil.

Likely that all you need is a replacement gasket for that cover.

All the best

Hi

Don't know enough about that engine. However quite possible it is one of Hondas pushrod singles which would be pretty simple to strip down. If it is one of the overhead cam engines it will be more difficult, as you will need to set the cam timing correctly. Would suspect the engine might need to come out to take the barrel off to do the piston.

If it is just the gasket that is required then that will be cheap to buy new from Honda and very easy to replace.

All the best

Keith
