The only problems i`ve encountered with wet weather riding are loss of stability and serious brake fade.
To counteract the above i just ride slower, show the throttle a bit more respect than usual, and leave a bigger distance between me and the vehicle in front.I`m pretty sure that`s what everyone else does aswell....unless they`re stupid.
Wet or dry......the bikes performance stays the same. It`s only "my" performance that changes ____________________ https://www.UK-BODYBUILDING.co.uk |

Got soaked on the cruiser the other day on my way to Newark. I was pulling into Strensham services as it started to hammer down. Had a coffee and jumped back on the bike. I tested the rear wheel grip by opening the throttle just a crack and I had the rear wheel spinning up. I thought it just might have been the crappy car park surfaces so I did the same thing again on the slip road while cornering and had a nice little power slide going on.
That's my first time riding a big cruiser in the wet. It's not as safe as a sportsbike with grippy tyres. So if you're on a cruiser take it very gently in the wet. ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm. My old ZZR's brakes used to be absolutely shocking in the wet, doubly so if they were cold too. I vividly remember trying to slow down for a turn off after a steady run over the moors and pretty much sailing right past the junction with 'fooooooking hell' running rings round my head
Oh than that, with decent tires on it was fine. My RST is worse in the wet but imho thats down to the 020s on it, at least the brakes work ____________________ 2010 Triumph 1050 Sprint ST |

Wet weather riding is easier than most people think.
Just take it steady and with more caution then usual.
Waterproof help alot also |
