Here's a video from Superbike magazine showing how to wheelie Mr. Green

https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6656191590638402466&q=superbike

Starts with the basics and builds up. A good bit of info for those starting out like me Laughing

Clutch it in 1st, cbr comes up easy. try standing, put your left foot on peg and cover brake with right foot.

Do you think the first stage is possible on a bike with little power? e.g cb400. Was trying to get it up on my journey home last night, either I was being a whimp and not giving it enough gas or it hasn't got the power.

My gsxr400 wheelied off the throttle (just Laughing ) but that had a close ratio gear box. Clutching 33bhp is easy to get up but difficult to hold as you run out of power so easily, you can see in my vid.

Believe me it'll do it more than "just" on standard gearing! I (accidently) nearly flipped my old one, just on the power (wasn't trying to wheelie, just pull away quick). Put it this way; the front came down hard enough that the forks bottomed out, my visor slammed shut and I head-butted the screen! Shocked Laughing

LoL it been too cold or wet in Glasgow to try since i got confident on my CBR, got a 125 CG when a car driver hit my 125 varadero, i managed to wheelie that, full throttle and i mean fire the clutch out and the front will come up.

Laughing That also reminds me of the time i first took the restrictors out of it. I was at some lights with 2 mates and thought i'd clutch one up, i think the throttle stuck or i revved too hard but it flew up, nearly flipped and it shook side to side and as i landed i managed to nearly hit the central reservation. Embarassed

Luxy and anyone else who wants to powerwheelie, set off in first get to about 10 k revs shut the throttle and snap it open about half throttle and the front end'll come up (at least it does a CBR600RR Laughing )

i've never tried clutching it up and probably won't for a while, i got it up off the power and then shifted up through the box to 3rd and then just cruised...but i flipped it in 2nd gear and yeh...don't plan on trying again for a while!

Agree with previous post, my zx6r is easiest to wheelie in first at 28mph,blip the throttle and it lifts. But start small and easy as nearly flipped a few times and leathers are a bitch to clean...........

Zxr400 needed the clutch to get up but as previously stated it wouldnt stay up too long so looked pish.

i had a little play a week ago or so (no for long) and cant get the front up. i think im pulling the throttle back too hard instead of smoth swift open, what you think sparks! (or anyone else that knows)

Yea i hear the front piston goes or something if you do it too long Shocked
