i have a Vulcan Custom 125 (obscuro chinese bike) that has decided it won't start. this seems to be the same problem as in

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=131745&highlight=vulcan

it worked fine on thursday, was parked in the garage, and wouldn't start on friday.

I have no spark when checked (used a spare spark plug) and there is fuel getting through the system.

any idea what i need to be looking at (replacing/fixing)? - the other thread seemed to just stop without a fix managed...

That'll be the problem then Laughing

As long as you're sure the spark plug is good, you should next test the HT cap.

make sure that the body of the plug is touching the engine or it wont spark. Also try checking at night as this will better allow you to see a spark. Darkness will also allow you to see if the spark is shorting and jumping from the HT lead to somewhere else. If you have no spark at all then that is the problem. Check allt he wiring and the fuses to see if they are the problem. If not buy a new coil (not much) and try that.
