Hi
Nothing really to circulate. Coolant is pumped round, gearbox oil is pretty much where it needs to be, petrol goes direct to the car and without 2 stroke oil it would seize pretty rapidly. If the carb had been full of petrol when stored then it might be an issue, but not if stored empty.
The engine being slightly off centre wouldn't make a difference, but check the swinging arm spindle is tight and that the adjuster on the spindle is correct (used to get rid of the clearance between the swinging arm and frame).
Complete rebuild I would say to run in as though it was a new bike.
All the best

Is it actully running badly or just different it could well be in your mind but I would double check any bolts you have undone for the handleing. with a new cylender I would hope it would feel a little different. ____________________ oops I did it again.... |

I just went out for a little mountain ride to see what the bike feels like more in depth.
Felt like absolute crap.
So unstable in the corners, hardly any power, wobbly and awful. From 5750 rpm to 6250 rpm i couldn't make the leap if it was uphill. Only spluttering.
I stopped at a cafe for a fag, and checked the back wheel cause something was obviously wrong there. Checked the rear tyre. Like a bloody marshmallow it was!!
Front was pretty soft too.
Went back down to the city and to the first petrol station. On the rear tire I had a pressure lower than 1 Pumped the tires and rode off.
What a difference! First of all it felt like it was throwing me into the corners, almost scary after 20 minutes of shiteness. And it felt like the horsepower had been doubled! The tires had been so soft that the engine wasn't even strong enough to battle them properly. Even at the low rpms im riding now (absolute max 7k) the bike was way faster when the tires were pumped.
Talk about a rookie mistake So happy that my bike isn't shit |
