Wotcha.
I had the frame and swing arm off my BSA done at Bournes, in Birmingham, not so long back - cost around £ 60 for the two, if I recall correctly.
Price will reflect the quality.
Places like Bournes are cheap and cheerful - there will be some blemishes and you will get marks where they hang the stuff. The folks that work there ain't bikers, so they don't know which parts will be visible when on the bike - also, they are mainly young kids, on minimum wage, so they ain't really going to have much pride in what they do.
Somewhere like Redditch Powder Coaters will be more expensive, but the finish will be better, and they take more care over what they do. ____________________ Cheers.

Hi Jamie, I got my ER5 powder coated earlier this year by Chicago Powder Coating in Mossley.
They did frame, swingarm, centre and side stands, torque arm, both wheels, brake plate and footrest hangers.
All this was only £95 and they did a superb job. Even masked off most of the threads for me. Highly recommended company.

Bournes do most of my work, they are ok (not brilliant). If this is a bike for sprinting have the frame plated not coated as every gram counts. ____________________ Bikers make great organ donors, get 115 on your licence today. |
