Two top boxes..

The frame is all flatbar, some of it welded together, but really theres no reason why it couldn't be done all with bolts and carefull bending in a vice. A power saw and a pillar drill make it less hard work than a hacksaw an a drill.

The (top) top box is fiberglass so weighs almost nothing, its empty till i get to uni and then its where i stash my elmit.

The tube has either spare petrol or oil, or waterproofs.

Cost:
£6 for the steel box (which has been laying arround for a couple of years)
£2.50ish for the amount of flat bar used.
£2 nuts and bolts
£2 lock and hasp
Had the topbox on my last 3bikes and the tube was free.

Doesn't seem to have affected the aerodynamics Laughing

I can guarantee you it makes no difference to how often knee downs happen..
(the diy sidestand, for example, would be the first thing to be scraping the floor, followed by whoever was riding it)

Oddly its quite easy to get allot of lean out of it because its pretty nimble. Anyone brave enough could I'm sure.

Hmm where did you get that tube from? , seems to me it would be more aerodynamic than a tent in a canvas bag...

If nobody's already mentioned it, if you're going outside of the country, you might like to remove/obscure certain words on that case: BOMB, RDX and TNT are a few that immediately pop out at me. Otherwise those nice customs people might invite you for some intimate time with the rubber gloves... Laughing

Yeah thats the case that the 105mm rounds come in (that then sit in pairs in amo crates) - Not quite sure you're meant to have them really, not that they can do anything or are dangerous but the MOD seem to like taking them back.

How did you get hold of it any how? You at Uni? In an OTC Gun Troop/TA?

Joe

And oddly the bigger one is lighter than the smaller one by a fair bit.
