https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Arai-Profile-CRANK-Yamaha-RED-helmet-Viper-GT_W0QQitemZ320259765084QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116#ebayphotohosting

It's so nice, it even says Yamaha on it I can just see myself wearing it! However, it's not BSi or European approved so technically it's not legal. It's an Arai and more than likely to be just as good as UK spec one though. I was thinking I could just slap a sticker on it and the plod will never know, but I've heard people have different shaped heads so helmets are made differently for different markets. What do you guys reckon?

Buying a lid from eBay because it looks nice is a really bad idea. All the different brands have different fits, and they then vary from model to model. The chances are a random helmet on eBay isn't going to be the one which fits you best!! You want to go to bike shops and try on lots of different lids... a £600 top of the range Arai helmet would be worse in a crash than a £60 cheapo lid if the cheapo lid fits you better than the expensive Arai one.

You wouldn't get noticed by the police for your lid not being technically road legal in this country, only time that could ever be a problem would be if you were in a crash and claiming from someone elses insurance. The insurance company could try and say that your injuries would be less if you'd been wearing an approved lid. So hopefully that's a fairly unlikely situation.

Don't buy it, buy something that you know fits well!!

Or alternatively, go down to your local dealer and see how the Viper GTs fit you and what size you should go for Thumbs Up

Tis what I would do, although you may struggle to find a shop selling them
