Hi I have just purchased a 2nd hand XR125 L 6 - Can someone please help as i havent got a manual (????)
How do I remove the Seat?
Is the Air filter under the seat?
Choke positioning which is on or off UP or DOWN?
I can start it in when pushed down or middle at present but not if fully up?? - I have played around but any time I put fully up it cuts out??
Splutters!! - when riding the bike sometimes it splutters and loses power for a bit the bounces back into life - not fully just spluttery - ANY IDEAS Why this is??? Its usually in 3rd/4th Gear.. it lacks power then finds it loses it finds it etc........

Usually you remove the side plastics.once removed you'll see two bolts holding the seat on (once removed the seat slides backwards)
Is the Air filter under the seat?
Not sure on that bike but usually accesed from the side of the bike.(black box with a cover held on by a few screws?).If you could take a couple of pics of the side of the bike i could tell you for sure.

When you have the bike running,if you put the choke fully on the bike should cut out.(from what you said i would say fully up is choke on?)

Start with a service (oil,oil filter,air filter,plugs) and see if it get's better.Not worth messing about with other things till you've checked the basic service items.

having the choke on wont flatten the battery.
