Grateful for any assistance as I am a bit of a dork when it comes to anything technical.

I have a Hyosung 125cc 4 stroke scooter which has recently been serviced. However after travelling for 4 or 5 miles, when the engine has warmed up, the bike tends to periodically loose power, especially at low speeds and then cut out all together. I was told this may be due to lack of vacuum i the petrol tank but it cuts out on nearly a full tank of petrol. Could the carb need cleaning?

Did you have this problem before it got serviced? If not, then I'd take the scooter back to the garage and shout at them for a bit Smile

As for the vacuum, it's not how much fuel you have in the tank, it's how the air escapes from it to reduce pressure. There usually a piece of tubing coming from the bottom of your tank and leading to no-where.

There's a chance that either the vacuum hose or main fuel hose is kinked somewhere (as a result of dodgy mechanics messing with your bike), which would either lead to fuel or air starvation.

make sure your breather pipes are okay and not kinked etc...

Thanks for advice guys. It went back to the garage that done the service but they could find anything wrong with it. But as the problem stille exists then I'll go back again.
