Well... i was riding along the road like normal... in around 3rd gear, i nocked it up into 4th and it had no pull at all? just felt like i was in neautral, this has happend a few times but not always in 3rd or 4th gear, it happens in all gears, going up and down them.

on a slightly differnt toppick.... at full throttle in 3rd, when it hits around 6k revs, it starts dropping down the revs unless i nock it down a gear, or nock it up a gear....

Any ideas whats causing any of these problems?

as for the gearbox i have no clue apart from "have you got oil in there?"

losing power in the higher gears normally points to either running weak or fuel not getting to the carb quick enough.

did you fix all your other probs or is this ongoing?

try jetting it up one slightly. 2 strokes tend to run better this way in the colder months. also fit a hotter plug. if you have a #9 plug fit a #8 one Thumbs Up

ok, al give that ago, i just bought 2 new BR8ES spark plugs y-day aswell!!

Could my float hight be causing this problem?

iv havnt took it past 6, 7k revs anyway since im bore'in it in.

so i dont know what would happen if i kept it in high revs or anything.

could be float height, could be fuel filter or even a kinked fuel line etc etc

My RS does the same in almost every gear. Its like another neutral between the gears.
I have no idea what causes it but if I change gear up with more force on the lever it doesnt happen. Confused

I thought it might have been a populer thing with these engines, there is an Aprilia rx 50 that goes past my house, and it sounds like it does the same thing, you hear him go into the gears then all of a sudden sounds like its revving off the clock and he slows down! Embarassed

can you explain how you solved your problem a little more?

do you dip the clutch fully, roll off the throttle, and give a good hard shove up a gear? Confused

Let me know, thanks Mr. Green

Mine only happens when you dont change up a gear hard enough. (force on the level with your foot)

Say im going along in 2nd gear. Off the throttle and clutch in. Pull up on the gear lever with the same force as trying to get into neutral from first gear. Clutch out and the bike just revs as if in neutral. Clutch in again and change up again and it would go into 3rd.

My problem is solved by pulling up on the gear lever harder in the first place. Thumbs Up

My bike has a false neutral between 5th and 6th and its only when you don't kick up hard enough.

As for the revving, i have much the same problem. Mine hits 7k then doesn't go any further. I've ordered a K&n air filter to see if that fixes is because i have checked the jetting and fuel lines.

My 92mtx125 used to do this if i did'nt change up frimly enough it would either not change up or just stick in a false netural. I noticed this more when i started wearing boots instead of trainers even though it's not the same bike as your's how does the gearbox feel when going down though the gears with the clutch in? Does it feel clunky? I had this just before my clutch gave up.

all i can say is im probly just not a good rider...

its strange to think, i have no bike knowlage at all, done my CBT test on a twist and go scooter....

and have been learning since, i dont really know how to use a clutch or ride properly, just from what people say and what i see on tv! Laughing Lol

when i change gear, i do it fast and firm and probly to quickly, but if i do it nice, smooth and slowl'ish it grabs and goes into gear no problem.

only had 4 good rides out on the big bad roads, and when your bike goes into neautral in the middle of a busy road, doesnt go down the gears well, so im pulling out at a busy roundabout in 3rd gear (Failed = anything comin around the corner would have hit me) Isnt fun!!!

guess i have alot to learn at 16!
As every1 says, i will still try and trash my eminence speed 30mph 50cc bike, thinking its my dads fireblade. Whistle
