Hi - new to the forums. Smile

If I delete the reg plate light from my bike, would this be illegal? Would it get through an MOT?

Cheers. Very Happy :

No problem, I was wondering the same thing recently as my reg plate light is big and ugly. So it was good to be prompted to find that thread! Laughing

Laughing

I noticed the use of 'delete' instead of 'remove' too.

Ha ha no. I'm actually a Marine Engineer and have done a lot of fannying around with cars and its a term frequently used in modification.

Very Happy

Guessed you were into Cars from the G60 user name.

VW Fan by any chance?

As for the Reg plate light. I believe if its more than 50cc it requires a reg plate light.

Yes mate. Have had a fair few mk2 GTI's and such like, and still do have a mag featured VR6, and a Golf Rallye Smile

The plate light will be removed this afternoon! Thumbs Up

I never had a Reg plate light on my Road Legal Pit bike until recent. But mainly because It looks like it should have L plates. And I have a full License.

I get pulled. Copper thinks he's about to get one up on me by issuing fine/points for Lack of L plates. I flash my Full Motorbike License. He is embarrassed. So Decides to find something else wrong with my bike to do me for! Laughing

I never had one on my NC29 (CBR400) and didn't have one on my XL125 either.

As for Dub's. A mate of mine (dam_buster) from this forum used to have a seriously fast G60. Cant remember the full spec but it was running 200bhp+. Was smart! Thumbs Up

Thats good then, because my road legal pit bike has a couple of tiny LED's built into the Reg plate bolts.
