This is the best looking pl;ace I've found online, bet it's still expensive to get one done tho:-
https://www.microstat.co.uk/microfilm.html
I was dead right, they want £175 to do one microfiche, (minimum order). I can get up to 700 images done for that.

Might have answered my own question here, just found this on another forum;-
"I have had great results using a 4000dpi negative scanner and then cleaning up the images in Graphic Converter.
The quality of the fiche is the limiting factor.
If it has been used for 20 years in a bike shop then more work has to be done to fix it."
Anyone got a 4000dpi neg scanner and knows how to use Graphic Converter? |

Hi
I had some done a few years back. Certainly wasn't cheap (£190 for 14 fiche) and not good enough quality to turn into a pdf (scanned as jpg and tif).
I have tried a few desktop scanners with no real success. Not sure you can get an affordable slide / negative scanner. Think part of the problem with a desktop scanner is getting a way of mounting the slide in a decent position.
I have loads of fiche I want to scan, but still trying to find an affordable way.
All the best
