Run it out of petrol!!!

Tonight I ran the 650 out of petrol accidently (low fuel light never came on) so my question is, Would it have done any damage? and Is there anything that I could do to sort out any damage?

Few pointers It's a 650 V twin, Carbed

Try resetting your trip counter every time you fill up & get to know roughly what your bike does to reserve & empty so you`ll know when to top up - as good as any gauge imo

Awwww unlucky. Nah it won't do any damage. The bike's not old enough to have any rust/crap in the bottom of the tank and it's more than likely got a fuel filter.

I managed to do this about 1/2 a mile from the top of the Snake Pass a few weeks back. Pushing a 200kg bike up a very rough, muddy verge for 1/2 a mile is the least fun thing I have ever done.
I ended up having to hitch a lift down into Glossop, buy a petrol can and some fuel, then hitch a lift back up the Snake Pass.
