Try resetting your trip counter every time you fill up & get to know roughly what your bike does to reserve & empty so you`ll know when to top up - as good as any gauge imo Thumbs Up

+1 Thumbs Up tis a top tip too, i reset my counter and make sure fuel tap is back to on instead of reserve. (i forgot once, but notice trip counter was doing stupid numbers so went and topped it up and started over)

Awwww unlucky. Nah it won't do any damage. The bike's not old enough to have any rust/crap in the bottom of the tank and it's more than likely got a fuel filter.

I managed to do this about 1/2 a mile from the top of the Snake Pass a few weeks back. Pushing a 200kg bike up a very rough, muddy verge for 1/2 a mile is the least fun thing I have ever done.
I ended up having to hitch a lift down into Glossop, buy a petrol can and some fuel, then hitch a lift back up the Snake Pass.
