Ello all,
Ive bought one of those inbuilt LED indicator/brake light kits for my ZX10R (04 model).
Ive gone to go and fit it last night and ive got a bit of a problem, the standed indicator connecters dont fit straight on to the new LED ones, theres only 2 wires coming out of the LED kit (one for the left indicator and one for the right).

The standed connecters are a block connecters, but have two wires going into each one (two for left, two for right). Therefore how do i go about fitting the new LED kit?
There is two little bullet connecters coming out of the wires, but ive tried plugging them into them and nothing happens Confused

... help!!! Sad

im guesssing here but it sounds like the led unit ( brake light indicators ) is earthed from the brake light wires,
so should just be a case of finding the live indicator wires and wiring them in ,

bear in mind u may need to uprate the flasher unit as you are going from standard indicators to led,

please correct me someone if i am wrong

Sounds right to me. If they do flash too fast then its better to fit a relay than to use resisitors.

Yh thats what my mate thought, try and pull off the connecter block, and find the live wire for each indicator.
What would i do with the other wire, just tape it up, and out of the way? Confused
Only thing is if im wrong, then its a cunt to get the block back on! Very Happy Wink

Anyone actually fitted one of these things? Confused

Don't remove the connector block, either cut the wire behind the block and solder the wire, with heat shrink tube to insulate or find a connector that will fit into the existing fitting.

FWIW

Earth wires are generally black or black and white.

Live might be green or grey.
