What reasons did you have for getting rid of the last bike?

Mines always been due to mechanical failure or a combination of catastrophic events that mean the final straw. I would like to say that they were traded in for a newer, faster, racier model but no.

Because I wanted to upgrade to 33bhp, not sure I will sell this one when my restriction ends, might just de-restrict it and buy an off-roader, not sure.. Thinking

IT died for about the 20th time and I no longer had the will power or need to bring it back to life again.

My 636 was fantastic, very fast, very agile, very confident, very planted and made me feel like a riding god. For the first ten minutes at lleast, then it turned into some kind of medieval torture device that shoved a razor blade up my arse, broke my wrists, contorted my back and made my ears bleed.

Hence the busa, nice and quick, nice and comfy and can be ridden sanely without feeling like your doing the bike an injustice Thumbs Up

Bike previous to the 636 was a Sv650, guess why I got rid of that Wink Laughing

Previous bike was a Speed Four, moved up to Speed Triple.

I simply didnt ride the bike to do it justice, it came into its own at 80+ speeds but I rarely went above that.
Plus I wanted something with torque. Very Happy

Needed the space for the new one. I'd have kept it if that hadn't been the case.

Hi

Last bike I sold was the XJ600 Divvy. Sold it because I found it totally boring to ride for the journies I used it for, and the journies it was good at (long motorway runs) I did very few of.

All the best

Keith

Because I needed something that would handle a daily motorway commute. Now that I don't have that commute any more, I'd like to swap back...

GPZ 500, broken, extremely rusted, in process of being stripped down, then someone fortunately nicked it without cylinder head, tank, seat and a few other important bits Laughing

I sold my blade cos it was too much for me. I want a bike I can have fun on, not spend my time worrying if too much throttle, brake or steering will make me crash.

Sold my VFR 400 because it was uncomfortable and I could afford a Fireblade

Sold my Buell because I couldn't afford to keep it with the missus going to University. Should have just kept it, and not bothered with the next three bikes I bought.

I've kept all my bikes. The only one I've got rid of was a motoroma scooter that died one day so it was taken apart and thrown in the scrap. The other ones have just been ran into the ground.
