Hey just wanted to know peoples opinions on these aftermarket kits floating about.
I've bought a CBR400 nc29 with quite a bit of pannel damage, so looks like i'm gonna have to replace nearly all the pannels.
I've seen these on ebay:
https://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w125/motofairings/nc29/nc29%203/nc29%204/P6090044.jpg
going for around £300
Then there is also the tyga/k-conversions bodykits which i do like:
https://www.k-conversions.co.uk/images/Picture%20013_02.jpg
however there around £800-£1000.
Also i'm not sure of the build quality and fit. I have seen some on here which are amazing!!!
Or should i just source some orignals which could be painstaking scouring ebay for a few months.
What do you think?? ____________________ Suzuki GSX750 Inazuma |

A mate of mine bought the "WEST" liveried chinky ones, apparently you need to really take your time fitting them to get them on properly,
although the end result does look quite smart!
When you get up real close to the bike "nitpicking-close" there are a few bits that dont quite match up, but generally you`ll never study it up that close.
The plastics themselves actually look really good, its just the plastic used i think could be quite brittle in a crash I.e falling off the side stand or a low speed spill, I`d guess they`d just crack, rather than deforming and scratching.
For the Money the chinese fairings do a great job of tidying up a tatty bike, just remember, you`ll have to get your tank sprayed to match and if you want to be entirely legal tell the dvla the colours changed, depends how far off the colours are with the V5 though my V5 says red and black so black and not much yellow isnt too far off ____________________ Cbt-23/09/07.....Theory-16/09/08.....Das passed 10/10/08.....

Dont Tyga it. Craig will tell you. They are god awful plastics. (Well, they are actually fiberglass) and not worth their money at all.
They dont "Click" into place like the OEM Honda panels do. Although I guess them chinkey fairings dont either.
You can pick up a full set of painted plastics from Hong Kong (on ebay) for around £350 inc postage. I've heard of people saying the stickers dont line up properly where they cross over the panels, but other than that they are sound.
What hard ship is there in peeling the sticker off and getting another made up at a sign writer for about £5?
OR you could just pick the plastics where the stickers dont go across the panel joins.
Tyga Kits are very un-tasteful. And as you can see, Its only the young 16/17 year olds who wet their pants over them.
THEN you will get your 600 riders who will go around bragging they have just spanked a Honda Fireblade off the lights. Because your 400 is dressed up as something it clearly isnt.
Also the engine cases look pants where the Tyga fairings sit around them.
Just stay with the Honda CBR fairings. One of the most iconic bikes going.
MudSkipper. I miss mine too.
