Hi

would having aftermarket wheels fitted to a bike change the manufacturers reccomended tyre pressures?

also whats it better to go by - the trye pressue on the side of the tyre or the value in the haynes manual.

each make and model of tyre needs a different pressure, once you're off the stock tyres that came with it the pressures in the manual are useless.

Sometimes the pressure on the side of the tyre only show a max load pressure, such as mine. mine say 32psi but that's far too high, but if you read carefully it says 32psi for maxload 150kg. If they are decent tyres you should be able to check online what pressure to have them at.

Wheels make no difference to the tyre pressures, stick with the tyre makers pressure.

Not really (assuming the wheel is the same size and the same size tyres are used), although it might well affect suspension settings (most aftermarket wheels are lighter).

Totally ignore the pressure on the tyre. It is meaningless to your or probably any other bike. Only pressure there to take any notice of is the max pressure, but don't even think about running the tyre at that pressure instead of the recommended pressure for that tyre on that bike.
