They are not restricted in the first place, if you want a faster bike get a 2 stroke.

The clue's in the name. Jicheng Easy Rider. Says it all really.

First off, its clearly chinese and so isn't going to be super quick or well built. Second of all, its called 'easy rider' so its bound to be a cruiser.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

a) Use the search function

b) It's never going to be a quick bike

c) Can we add the word "De-restricting" to a profanity filter? Razz

Its not restricted its just slow. Gaining performance is usual 4T stuff, exhaust, larger carb. Gearing changes can give you slightly more top speed or faster acceleration, not both

No offence, but a lot of chineese bikes are not as good quality and getting more power out of it might damage parts, and there is not too many performance products for these kind of bike.

I would try to find out if the bike is a copy of a Jap bike and see if any performance jap parts are compatable

But on the other hand if you wanted to give it a bit of power you could port the exhaust outlet so it is nice and smooth, take off the cast marks of the inket port and carb, but leave it a bit rough for air feul turbulance, make sure the throttle opens fully, see if you can get a high flow air filter, definatly make sure you have the right tyre pressures and the wheels move freely, and as robert mack said try changing the sprocket ratio, put a high flow feul filter on it, there are other things you can do aswel, but this might give you a few more horses and a smoother ride.

Good luck, Ken Thumbs Up

Hi mate
It is not restricted there are some emissions shite which should have been removed by the importer I have a monkey bike made by them (and also a triumph sprint and an R1) replace anything that wears out with Honda parts, the brake pads before you ride it and change the oil at 2k intervals if you want speed then pass your test a restricted cbr 6 , will do 80mph 2 up

Think Easy Rider is the name used by my local bike shop (CG Chells) for the Chinese bikes they have been bringing in for years.

All the best

I had a chinese CG clone. Tried everything to make that bugger go faster.

The best thing I found was going on a diet. Thumbs Up Mr. Green Thumbs Up

I agree with the above. Spending time to set up the bike as per design spec can make a big difference for almost zero cost and only a few hours fettling.

Improving the airflow is taking it a step further. Depending upon whether it runs rich as standard, the carb may need re-jetting to compensate.

My old chinese bike would rev out in top gear at about 45mph*

I changed the sprockets and chain, which got it to about 65-70mph*.

(*indicated speed)

Thumbs Up

hi,
its all been said before but...
the chinese cg clones which i have owned are usually good for an indicated 80mph, (more like just over 70).
mikuni 29mm carb & conical airfilter usually unleashes what little more power they have.
change sprockets to suit.
the guys over on the chinese bike forum can advise on other upgrades such as exhausts(hard to match one up) & bbk's.
best ran with a decent spark plug (ditch the dodgy torch or lg one, they are prone to serious failure)
brakes & other parts arnt up to those speeds though, so do frequent oil changes, fit decent brake pads & use plenty of threadtite, cos you'll lose plenty of bits! lol.
cheers,
GAZ
