Hi BCF,

My Suzuki GZ125 is starting ok, but it cut out as I was coming into work this morning and took a while to get going again. As soon as I start to open the throttle up it just cuts out and dies. I'm sure there's probably a number of reasons for this but what should I be checking and looking at to fix it?

I know it's a bit cold in the mornings but it feels like it's down to something else, as it's been colder and not happened before.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Blocked main circuit in the carb?

Your idle circuit may be fine (hence easy start up) but if there is crap blocking the main jet the engine will stall as soon as the throttle is opened.

Try opening the throittle really really slowly and see if that improves matters at all. My SR 125 used to cut out if the throttle was blipped when the engine was cold.

My bike does this when the electrics get wet and I need to sort it. Im gonna wrap a plastic bag around the coil for now until it warms up a bit and I can do a proper strip down and sort everything.
