Which on an nsr would make alot of sense...although i can think of easier options! Confused

is there any other way of getting the bike up there with out dumping the clutch?? shounds shitty cos all you hear is a 2squeek rev its guts out then suddenly die down

I could do my NSR125F off the throttle by standing up then pushing down on the pegs and pulling up while cracking the throttle open.

It's betrer than falling off the back of a vertical zx6 at 50-60mph I would suspect Confused

It wil take quite a lot of practice to get it to come near vertical.. needs good timing ot coordinate the push down then opening the throttle.

Did get it near the balacnce point a few times, but got scared 'cos it's gonna be pretty hard to balance.

IMO its a lot easier to wheelie a 600+ than a 125.

Another thing is, many people say they've got the 'balance' point but are just holding it up on the throttle (on the larger bikes). The REAL balance point is where you can swtich the engine off and balance the bike whilst up.

I was doing it in first.

Start pulling the throttle on at about 8-9k, then move down the rev range as you get the timing right.

TBH I wouldn't recommend it, epecially on a new shiny bike, you're not that likley to do anything bad, but it is really hard on a 125 2st sports bike beacause all the power is in a thin power band at the top of the rev range, so keeping it in the balance point is going to be really hard unless you're really good anyway.

The NSR will come up, and you can play around without any real worry of flipping it Smile

Start off by just revving it to near middle of the powerband at 5-10mph, and almost dropping the clutch. It will come up, and then fall gracefully back to the ground. Never got further than doing that on mine though.

Or you can go and learn it on a mountain bike and wonder if it is transferable Razz

If you start to get it really high there's a higher possibility of flipping it because you have to get it to come up really fast.
However it will take a fair bit of practice to get it this high.

Yeah but even dumping the clutch at higher RPM isn't all that good.

I've found i do better wheelies when not wanting to,
an exapmple is when i wanted to get across a cross road and was on a slight incline.

Slipped the clutch on full whack and let the clutch out a little to fast, and it pooped up for quite a while then. but as you will know the wait was shifted to the rear of the bike...
