Honda SLR ~ FMX ~ Vigor...All the same?

Are they the same bike with a different body on?

Basically,i'm wanting to put super-moto wheels on it.
Would be ideal if the fmx stuff fits..?

Cheers mate,i assumed the frames were the same.

So how does it work with fitting different wheels,do i have to use a front wheel from a similar weight bike? or could i put a 17" front wheel on off a dt125? I know the axle bolt/bearings will be different, i just mean for the overall strength of the smaller wheel.

get the wheels you want, say cb500 wheels,
keep the original axles, change the bearings and the internal wheel spacer to suit the axle,
you'll have to sort the caliper to the disc as well and also the spacers and speedo drive to make sure the wheel is centered.

i would stay with honda wheels as you'll have a lot higher chance of getting the bearing diameters the same,
a good thing to do is check online first
go on wemoto and check each bike
eg. the vigor 99-00 uses a 15x35x11 front wheel bearing... 15mm axle. the slr uses 15x35x11 as well the cb500 also has a 15mm axle ect ect.
as for strenth id go for something roughly the same weight,
i'd say the dt125 wheels probably would be more than strong enough,
but.... i don't know, maybe the spokes are shit quality and the wheel will just fold first big bump you hit. lol probably not

i'd say go for the fmx stuff if you can find it, it looks like they all run the same sized axle,

although it also looks like the dt125 runs a 15mm axle as well,

are you wanting spoked wheels or would the solid cb500 wheels be fine??

they would be better if you are saying on the road, if your considering going off road as well
then stick to spoked wheels

Yeah i still want spoked wheels.Road wheels just dont look right on traily's IMO

I've seen some ccm604 front ends going fairly cheap on ebay,so might be cheaper and easier to use that.Just have to see what comes up.

I'm gonna have a mess around trying to fit the dtr front wheel just to get an idea of how everything works.It's staying off the road until summer so i have plenty time to mess about with it
