What is the Ferrari of biking?

I often get asked this by my friends who are completely ignorant to biking in any way shape or form.

But you lot are the real knowledgeable ones, so can you enlighten me? Does the comparison even work?

I meant more in terms of the fact that everyone wants one, but no-one can really afford to get one...maybe Rolls-Royce would have been a better name to use, purely because I'm talking about rarity of seeing them around as opposed to its physical features. When you see a guy in a Rolls Royce, you know he's rich...that sort of thing

For my money one of the Bellini Tonrado TRE Special Editions or an MV Augusta Special Edition - especially the F4-CC.

Hand built, with milled componants instead of cast, the most recent one I remember was on sale at the £75k mark.

The one I'd sell your children into slavery for has to be the Norton 952 Commando, although the Norvil Commando is a close second...

Yeah but those ones are very very very very ugly, regardless of pedigree or cost I wouldnt have thought they were particlaurly desirable for anything other than the 'look what Ive got in my museum' pieces. Laughing

the good thing about biking is that you don't have to be a millionaire to own the best. you gotta be pretty loaded but i mean 40k for a ducati descini or whatever. that's a good price for a goo car but nothing great. to get a great car it's like 200k

Not really, you can get some good cars for reasonable prices too. OK it might not be brand new but still for example 911's and Maserati's in fact you can even get a Ferrari 360 for about 40k

Like I said Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati...

But I do admit brand new is a different story. I think the higher prices make them more special otherwise everyone would have one Laughing

I didn't think Angelina Jolie licking your balls was that dangerous that you needed to be insured! Shocked
