yes i have two. Both vr-1x lids, (both different colours/designs to that one) KBC are an excellent helmet in my opinion. So much so ive recommended them to family/friends who also agree the bang for buck is excellent. The vr1-x comes in at a pretty reasonable 3 out of 5 stars on the sharp test.
So yes go for it, obviuosly try one on first though. By the way the exact lid youve linked there is on sale for just £40 via m&p |

I had an AGV helmet before i bought my KBC AR1 Racer helmet.
The AGV lasted a few months before going sloppy on my head, even though it was nice and tight in the shop.
And the visibility on my KBC is much better than the AGV helmet i had. You can notice much more peripheral vision.
Obviously both helmets could have changed by now - but i would certainly look at, and buy another KBC!!!
I think you get a hell of a lot for your money - my KBC was £140 and comes with removable linings etc and the vents work brilliantly. ____________________ R6 has been sold - 2004 Honda VFR VTEC now sold too - no bike at the moment |

I've got the older style VR-1. It's a brilliant helmet. Very well made, everything including vents and moving parts are very sturdy. The visor mechanism will stand gusts of wind trying to blow your visor up/down.
It fits very well, but it's a tiny bit too big. I think this is due to pads compressing a bit on the sides, so make sure you go for one with a tight fit.
Only gripe I have with mine is that it mists up really easily, but that's certainly not a problem unique to KBCs.
Looking at that particular helmet it is the same shape as mine just with a more flash paint-job, so I would definitely recommend it. ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

I've had a KBC VR-1X for about a year and a half now. It's a really nice helmet, its incredibly comfortable, its a bit noisey now as the visor doesn't line up properly any more (my black visor works fine however). When I have a bit of spare cash I plan on getting another one. ____________________ Past: 55 Sym Jet, 91 ZZR250, 03 NSR125R. Present: 97 ER-5.
