Oil price has stayed pretty static. I guess it's down to the weakness of Sterling at the moment.

I filled up the car today - 84.9p, and that was in a Sainsburys right next to the M25!

I have noticed it, it was down to 84.9 near me, and then I noticed it creep back up to 86.9 and 88.9, as I remember thinking "cnuts" at the time, and now today the same station is back down to 85.9. Confused

3 things, Sterling has tanked , but curiously is making a bit of a rally on the Euro and the USD for some reason (perhaps it overshot).

Refineries are being subject to strikes and blockades

North sea oil is declining meaning we have to import more.

They're going up here too...to 54p a litre (well $1.23AUS anyways). God bless the big 4x4 gas guzzler nations.

i noticed this. I think it'll slowly creep back up until diesel goes above a £1 again consistantly and then people will be complaining again but it's just a cycle which is getting worse by about 5p a litre per year

At least it's nowhere near the £1.30/litre it was for diesel a few months ago!

I think a lot of prices will rise in the near future. Imports have gone up in price due to our pounds plummeting in value as a reaction to our insolvent financial institutions.

1p every 10 litres.

based on 20 litres a week you'd save £1.04 p/a. Better in our pockets than their's. They already make enough as it is. Laughing

Except they'd be more likely to keep it below some levels - ie 89p rather than 89.9p/90p I reckon.
