not really.
You can report it to ebay using the 'report this item' at the bottom ... they will then log it and if he does it 3 times or something, they will ban him
It is also against their rules to use "advertised elsewhere" wording .. so report that if you want.
And in theory if you are the highest bidder when the auction ends, you are the legal winner and owner of that item ... BUT even ebay themselves say its not worth the time and money to bring legal action.
I see this at least 3 times a month ... people auction stuff.. realise they are about to get f*ck all.. and then remove it
I rang ebay at least 6 times ... but have resigned myself to simply reporting it to ebay now. ____________________ There's nothing that shouts "Poor Workmanship" more than wrinkles in the Gaffa tape.

Buy it now disappears after the first bid unless there is a reserve price too, then it will go once the reserve has been reached.
If the bike has been listed in eBay motors, you can end it early to someone outside eBay :-

Agreed Have had things listed before with a Buy it now and as soon as someone bids the Buy it now option disappears. Makes you really glad you paid the extra to list it that way! |
