Hi all, im looking for some advice on my suspension setup if anyone can help. Bikes a 2000 zx6r. The main problem is I bought the bike from a large guy, prob 16+ stone. Im 11.5 stone. Ive found the bike is extemely hard and is literally throwing me out the seat to the extent where is seriously dangerous!
So far ive softened front preload, compression&damping, and softened rear compresion and damping. It has helped to soften the overall ride and the bike doesnt try and spit me off as much, however its still a little erratic and the rear in particular seems too hard.
Will adjusting the rear preload soften the ride at all? My only worry is, is that I dont think the rear spring is standard. Its yellow so i suspect its been uprgraded, possibly for a stiffer one. Most zx6rs ive seen have a black rear spring.
Is it worth messing witht the preload or should i just replace the rear spring with oe to eliminate the possiblitly that the rear spring has been swapped out for a stiffer one??
Any comments appreciated, cheers
