Hello

Before i started to strip and rebuild the CBR600. i had noticed the oil was milky brown.. does this 100% mean the headgasket has blown? ive done a few water seal checks they are ok... is it the headgasket or is there another problem it could be, as i dont know about Hondas other then how to ride one...

You need to find a garage that can do the sniff test to clarify it and/or if it is losing coolant with no obvious leaks.

+1, you get a little water in the oil from condensation inside the crankcase.

thanks for your replys...

it had been snowing hard and very cold when engine was turned off... i looked at what was coming from the pipe when it was on tick over and watched though the rev range.. normal i know on a turbo car when the head gasket blows there water or steam coming out of the pipe and misfires... as there no misfiring and no water coming from pipe... i would suspect weather.. but as i was not sure about the bike i had to ask..

im about to buy some cheap oil and run it for a whiles on tick over and up the rev range a little.. is this a good enough test as the oil has been drain and left with plug off,, ill open casing and clean any old oil out i see inside..

Thanks again Smile
