Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of your life)

Metallica - Mama Said

Metallica - Low Mans Lyric

Metallica - Nothing Else Matters (a tad more difficult but is brilliant once you nail it).

Anything from the Nirvana Unplugged album

The Human Abstract - Sotto Voce

The Human Abstract - Desiderata

Thats all I can think of at the moment

List is endless, but some of my favourites I practice are..

Oasis is a good start, try 'half a world away' sounds good.

Eric Clapton, his unplugged album is another good one. Try "nobody knows you" (when your down and out), 'running on faith' and 'san francisco bay blues'.

David Bowie - Man who sold the world, see Nirvana unplugged.

Radiohead - High and Dry.

Gilbert O'Sullivan - Alone again (naturally).

Supertramp - Give a little bit.

Neil Young - anything really but try "heart of gold" or "helpless"

Cat stevens - Moonshadow

Paul simon, Bob dylan, buddy holly, anything beatles, america all work great.

I got lots if ideas from this guy and his mate on youtube, simple arrangements, but if you can sing half competently, very effective.

Chordie.com for all the above, might take a while to find the decent version that works (given that its just a music google, there is a lot of chaff on that site, but some gold as well).

A lot of Tenacious D is acoustic, such as Tribute and various others. Its not too hard either because they are comedians first and musicians second.

Not that I can comment as I am neither a comedian nor a musician.

(Hmm... that post sounded like Colin1 wrote it! Laughing )

As said, 'Mama said' is a good one.
Here it is from the man himself.

Arrow Some KT Tunstall songs are quite fun to play.
Arrow Zombie is quite an easy one. Once you've learnt it you can start including the bassline into your strumming. There's a video that shows this out there somewhere, I will have a look.
Arrow Something a bit more challenging. I can't do it Laughing.
Arrow Or this.
