When i'm at a garage and it's busy with cars waiting to get to the pump,I always move my bike out of the way so the next car can start filling up while i get my gloves and helmet on. I've always done this. What annoys me is car drivers who don't bother saying thanks or even giving me a a friendly nod. I even had a woman in an Audi glare at me because she didn't think i had moved far enough forward, I had, but she didn't know how long her bonnet was
Come on,if i've gone to the trouble of moving my bike out of the way, the least you can do is acknowledge me,it's only politeness.
Do any of you lot move your bike for car drivers? Have you found car drivers are getting more rude ever year?
So i will not ever do it again nor nuffink neither! ____________________ sup up your beer and collect your fags |

I never move out of the way until i have paid, i didn't even know the pump could be used again before paying until yesterday when the most ignorant pig of a taxi driver pulled up right next to the bike and filled up while i was paying for my fuel, letting the fuel pipe rest on the seat. I went back and checked my bike over with a fine toothcombe afterwards.
I would of said something, but lets just say i was near bradford ____________________ Past: 06 Runner SP50 >>> 01 Varadero XL125 >>> 08 Kwak ER-6f >>> 05 CBR600rr

if they look like nice people ill move out the way or hurry up, if not they can wait.
Also i allways say thanks to cars if they move over to let me pass, never not thanked a car for doing that. ____________________ follow my racing season

Hi, i don't move my bike. The less moving about on the forecourt the better.
As for thanking cars, well sometimes a sideways nod if they move when i'm filtering. The biggest problem that cars have is how to let me out at junctions. Round here when they stop, they expect you to mind-read..no flash..wave. So there is that awkward pause
Ahh well..could be worse..just 20miles away you get beeped for letting someone in/out.

No chance of people seeing that in the in-town traffic I'm in, I'd say - and not much space to move my left either, what with the cars next to them, never mind my rearsets, etc .
If I ever get around to making my own top-box, I was thinking of writing out 'ta' in LED string activated with a handle bar switch . |

I have never moved out of the way but by the same token iv never rushed anyone to move either.
I was brought up to queue politely and expect the same courtesy, but since i never take my helmet or gloves of it doesnt take that long to get out of the way anyway. ____________________ And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I don't move my bike until i've finished fuelling up, paid up and then got my gear on. I only move when i'm pulling away to leave the petrol station.
I don't see why i should move when no cars have ever moved for me. I take as long as i need to put my helmet and gloves back on and wont be rushed. I see plenty of car drivers get back in their car after refuelling, just sat in the drivers sear faffing around with their hair, coats, purses etc. They're the ones who need to move quick, rather than me doing all the necessary stuff to get back on the road. Plus petrol stations are dangerous places and i don't want to be giving the wrong idea by moving about when i'm not supposed to.
I was stood in the queue to pay at the cash desk on Thursday and it was taking ages. There was a line of cars forming on the forecourt because the cashiers were so slow. When i'd finally paid there was a man pulled up along side my bike, with the hose over my bike filling up his bike! When i approached the pump to get on my bike he just carried on filling up, hose still across my bike, blocking my bike in. I said 'do you mind if i just get on my bike and go please? '. He looked at me but said nothing and just carried on! I waited 10 seconds before i politely told him to 'take the fucking hose off my bike and get the hell out of my way.' As i left i gave it a handful and left him a faceful of 2-stroke smoke. He wasn't amused. ____________________ "One moment can change a day, one day can change a life and one life can change the world." Siddhartha Gautama |
