Hey been working on the bike for the last few weeks - had real problems with trying to get it to start, due to alarm imobliser that was fitted (meta) i removed this and with some persuasion and a lot of fiddling i got it to start on the button. Very Happy
Now when trying to put it into first gear the bike just cuts out.
Clutch is held in and when selecting first there is a clunk, the rear wheel moves a bit then the engine dies. Mad
Initally i thought it could be to do with the alarm removal that i did - checked all the wires i disconnected - resolidered and still happening.
Then checked the sidestand, light comes on when its down and goes off when up, i assume this is ok as its all connected.
The bike was fine before and could engage and move in first.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Try pushing the bike, first gear, cluch in and engine off. If the motor is trying to turn over (or more likely locking the back wheel), there is a problem with the cluch. If not, look at the electrics again, maybe try disconnecting the swich?
