hi there looking for some answers.
i have a 2 stroke peugeot 50cc xps motorbike.
i recently sent it in for a full service and they changed the regulator as the electrics were playing up.
in the week since the service the bike wont start from the electic start so i have been trying to bump start but back wheel locks up and will not start. Got it started once but took abot 20 trys.

any knowledge as to what could be the problem would be appreciated.
thanks
Pat

Try bumping it in 2nd or 3rd and as soon as the engine spins over a bit, pull the clutch in. Bumping a 50 is piss easy as long as you remember to pull the clutch it.

Take it back to the garage and say its not working properly. Any decent garage should sort it out for free as they messed it up.

The xps bump a peice of piss,
I used to be able to walk and bump it Laughing
Another way that used to work on my xps, probably no good for it but it worked,

Stick it in first with the engine electrics on then start running with it in first and the bike will start chugging and the headlights etc will start lighting, then whip the clutch in and give it some revs. Used to work when regular bumping wudnt get it started when we had those 0 degree days last winter.

thats the problem because im not getting any power to turn the engine when i use the electric start. i havnt checked the battery yet though because its just been for a full service and i was told that everything is fine in that sense. also i used to bump start when i first got the bike and like you say i could do it just walking along, but after this service it took like 20 attempts sprinting down the road to get it to kick in!

sounds like battery flat try charging or replacing as for dificulty bumping try in second easyer than first but take it bake to garage if they just had it there mistake could be a bad one,(or something simple but stupid)
