What a nice young man you are.

I apologise sincerely if I held your journey up by those four seconds tonight by not entering that cycle box.

I completely deserved to be called a slag, to be told I need to learn to ride, and to be gestured to in various ways with your right hand. The revving of your engine and bumping of my rear wheel with your mighty machine was certainly impressive, as was the way you deliberately cut me up the minute I moved out of your way.

Although perhaps I shouldn't feel special by your considerate treatment, as I saw you obstruct that police car just a moment after with similar care, and make those lovely little gestures of yours to him too, before teasingly racing off before he could catch you.

Still, I felt we shared something wonderful. I don't know if you post here - a girl can dream - but I just wanted to thank you for your tenderness on the roads to a fellow biker.

Old clapped out piece of shit so dirty I couldn't read the plate. Couldn't see a lot of it cos he was that close to me he wasn't in my mirrors. And he wasn't there for very long before speeding off.

Shouldn't worry, some people are just born arseholes and stay that way till they shuffle off their mortal coil. I'd like to think that karma will bite the loser you speak of in the ass some day soon.

Were you by chance doing that annoying-as-feck trick of filtering to the front of the queue but blocking any other bikes behind from getting to the front? Lost count the number of times the biker infront refuses to move to one side to let others behind in.

Fair do's you didn't deserve the abuse but next time you know. Thumbs Up

Did you tell him to "shut up you uptight cunt" ?

I woulda done.
Once they've called you a slag or indeed a stupid slag who needs to learn how to ride, then all bets are off, insult-wise.

See, if he hits you after that, he's in the wrong. Not only is it assault, its hitting a woman: moral victory to you.

He's already insulted you, giving you clear indication of his attitude towards women riders.

So call him what you like.
He can't do any worse than knock you off your bike.

And that's criminal damage.

This morning I gave a mouthful to the driver of an embassy limo.

Dozy idiot had a car fulla ladies in burka (AND a charming pink baby car seat) with diplomatic plates, and decided that he owned BOTH lanes of St James's St whilst turning into Piccadilly, cutting me up. Those ambassadorial cunts think they can do anything just cos they have special number plates and used to not get nicked (something tells me they still get away with FAR TOO MUCH nowadays). Glorified taxi drivers, they are ... bollox.

So I squeezed in through the inside, came along beside him at the Ritz and bent down (aforementioned tits at full glare) and shouted through his window "You wanna own ALL the lanes, today, you stupid prick?"

... and zoomed off, content, whilst he was stuck behind taxis.

I think you did very well to let it go pickle unfortunatly i have been known to retaliate which doesn't do me or my bike any good.

I get terrible road rage and have frightened a few peeps in the past, if it were me i'd have followed him till he was at lights then booted him off his bike and stamped on his head Evil or Very Mad

Sorry, but are you suggesting she should risk 3 points on her licence just so someone else can filter to the front?

Just so we are clerar like?

Don't be so melodramatic flower. Rolling Eyes

Shift out of the way so other bikes behind can get to the front too. 90% of other bikers seem to manage it just fine...

If there's bikers behind me when I get to that white line, they can bloody wait till the lights change. I don't see why any biker should have to cross the white line coz of some impatient git behind them.

And I don't know where you get this 90% from, all the bikers I meet are happy to wait behind me or I just wait behind them. We always set off quicker than the cars anyway!

I totally agree. Thumbs Up

And I couldn't care less if I'm not able to get 'right to the front' cause of another bike in the way. Who gives a toss! Just wait the extra 3 seconds it takes you to accelerate round it when the lights go green (unless you're on a ped!). Laughing

At the other end of the scale:

As I was filtering home just now a bloke (passenger side) in what looked like a builders transit held out a Quality Street Toffee as I passed and I grabed it and filtred on to a hearty cheer fom all his mates in the van.

If I was not so worried about my filings it would be gone by now. As it is I am sitting on it to warm it up/soften it. another 5 mins and we are good to go.

Result.

I see it as a saftey thing, it is much safer to be in front of the cars than inbetween them, especially in London. I move forwards as do 95% of other riders.
