I got one for about £40 off ebay (can't remember the make) and it was great.

1.5m was a good size, i could chain up 3 bike wheels and a helmet lol. Was heavy though!

Cool

This caught my eye a while back and i plan to try it at some point (when i get my CG fixed and back on the road, as it doesn't quite warrant me buying another Almax as it's a cheap bike).

Order 1.5m of 16mm thick chain (same as the Almax for thickness) and the 16mm padlock and probably 1.5m of that wrapping stuff to go round the chain, should cost about £60-£70 all in i'd expect. I wouldn't expect it to be as good, but it'll be damn heavy duty i'd hope.

If you do go for it before me, i'd appreciate some feedback on whether it's meaty/well made enough.

I bought an Oxford Hardcore XL a while back on offer on ebay, £45 for the 1.5m. Gone up a tad now but still reasonable price.
Seems an ok chain/lock - nice and heavy.
