Help needed please, 07CBF600 with 4,000 miles. When down shifting through the gears especially third to first it seems to make a slight squealing noise and also sticking. The problem has been looked at by the local Honda dealership as it is still under warranty, they have road tested and greased the gear selecter but are saying their is not a problem with the gearbox. The noise seems to be coming from the shaft that goes from the gear selecter pedal to the gearbox. It was serviced approx 1,000 miles ago and the chain tension is correct and also the chain is lubricated well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I desperately want this problem to be resolved.

If you're not happy then I'd suggest one or both of the following:

1) Get them to put in writing that there isn't a problem with it - incase it goes pop after the warrenty expires.

2) Get a second opinion.
