My CG is vibrating abnormally ever since I took it on a ride to Nottingham (from London). It culminated in the Honda sign on the forks falling off mid travel.

Any ideas as to what maybe causing it?

Have you replaced the fork seals recently?

Well when it vibrates, is it at higher/lower speeds or is it at higher revs?

Mines vibrates quite a bit at high revs, and i can't vind anything wrong with it, engine mountings are all good so it confuses me but it stops after the bike warms up...

I would say it vibrates more at higher speeds and higher revs.

Vibration at higher revs, i.e full throttle from a traffic light as you pull away would mean engine damage or something wrong with it.

Vibration at speed would probably be something to do with your wheels or tyres... i'd also check the exhaust, as if the bike has been dropped in it's life that could be damaged and cause it to rattle Thumbs Up

Check the engine mounts, wheel balance, tyre condition, wheel bearings, does the CG have a balancer shaft?

I'd look at the wheels urgently - balance weights missing?
Any sign of excessive play indicating wheel bearings about shot?

I'm wary of taking it to a mechanics simply because they'll look at it, claim nothing is wrong and charge me £30 "to look at it".

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
