I need another fastener for my chainguard to attach to my hugger as for a year not one of the two is a horrible bolt that looks like a bodge Neutral

So now it is summer I have started getting it new again (new oil, brake fluid etc) and brought a new triumph badge to go over the top but first need to buy another fastener.

I have tried looking on every bolt site and cant seem to find what it is. When I brought the badge I tried to buy the fastener but they (fowlers, Bristol) did not stock them.

Im fairly sure I cant find it as its not called a fastener, anyone help me find one?

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

It's either called a 'male female screw rivet' or a 'male female screw'.

Both are proper names but I'm not 100% which yours is. Smile

Go to a local engineering supplier (usually trade to the public). They'll prob have one similar.

You could try using a Suzuki fairing bolt and putting a nut on the back where you can't see. They have a tidy looking top on them and a shoulder like you have there.

One of these will work fine:

Could even trim the end off if you're feeling fancy. Thumbs Up

I haven't seen one of those before, but it looks a bit like one of these I bookmarked in ebay a few days ago:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350196382910

Perhaps if you contact the seller for his email and send him a photo he might know what they are or be able to supply you with one.

That's not exactly what you're looking for, but it looks similar to the retaining part (if you can't get hold of exactly what you want and the size is right, perhaps it might be possible to get one of those, cut off the thread then tap a hole into it or something then at least you'd have one side). Or maybe you wouldn't need it if you can stick a nut on the back side or something.
