I think a bike MOT is just under £30.

If you have a Haynes manual it'll have a MOT guide at the back.

£29.20 is the current (maximum) fee set by VOSA.

I paid £24 for my last MOT. The place that did it gave you
a free re-test if it failed - providing you returned within 10
working days.

It's worth checking out your local Yellow Pages for places that
operate solely as an MOT business, if don't trust garages.

Might need to check chain/sprockets for wear and right amount of play. also headlamp alignment - (if hasn't been touched since last MOT then probably fine)

yours is an Evo right? If you look in the handbook there is a dear little picture (page 143 in MkII book) - if you haven't got handbook i will try and explain :- you need a flat bit of road and a nice flat vertical wall (white garage doors are perfect) You park so front of headlamp is 10 metres away from wall.
Sitting on bike, get someone to measure distance between approx centre of headlamp to the ground. Multiply this figure by .9 (that's POINT 9) then measure and mark a line that high from the ground on the wall/garage door. On Main Beam the top of the main body of light should not be higher than this mark. Hope that helps. Thumbs Up
