 |
|
Yay! I get to ride in the heavy rain tomorrow.
I have a cagoule and waterproof trousers
Boots are waterproof
Neck gets a bit wet and so does my luggage.
Anyone else got a longish journey to do tomorrow in the rain?
If so, ride careful and if you see various parts of a suzuki gs125 in and around Stafford its me!
Oh and how do you guys stop your neck getting wet without any proper gear?

Wrap a bin bag around your neck and tuck it in your shirt? |

I wear a jacket that fits properly.
Honestly though, I have this problem with an old Spada jacket, but my Richa jacket fits me a lot better and never lets a drop in.
Actually, thinking about it the design of the jacket might have something to do with it. The waterproof liner zips onto the inside of the main jacket. Where it zips there's a little more of the waterproof material stitched to the jacket. This forms a sort of V-shape at the collar so it may be that the collar of the jacket gets a bit wet but it trinkles down on the outside of the waterproof layer. ____________________ H100 Breaking for spares |

Just got in...totally soaked. My fault as i didn't take my Lidl rainsuit.
The roads had foam on the roundabouts, but were quite grippy after the heavy rain. Bike is all crapped up, after looking so clean for the past 2 weeks.

Well after todays ride from stevenage to reading i have to ride back home for sleep at 9 am then up and gone by 5pm to ride into paddington for another night shift.
So a few journeys in the rain, sucks but atleast my one piece waterproof seems to do the job. Even if i do look like a nob in it. ____________________ My Bike Pics |

fag.
i travelled 220 miles to birmingham.
got lost on the way.
ended up in bath.
got lost getting lost.
ended up in bristol.
finally got to birmingham after doubling my journey length, being completely soaked, along with everything in the pannier bag things (clothes).
climbing into bed with a girl on arrival when your that cold... underwear staying on is recomended to avoid embarassment. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. If you get a waterproof jacket with a hood, you can do it all the way up but leave the hood down round your neck. Pull it tight with the drawstring then tuck it up under the helmet at the back. It leaves the fold of hood material sealing the area bewteen the bottom of the helmet and the back of your neck even if you move your head about.
Just don't put the hood up under the helmet, I've heard of people landing up being scalped by it if they come off and the jacket pulls down. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
