Hi mate,

To check the gearbox oil there is a level screw on the right hand side engine casings its above the brake lever and is either an 8mm or 10mm nut.
You're supposed to undo it and see how fast the flow of the oil is, the oil should trickle out not pour everywhere and if there's no flow then theres not enogh in there, not the most accurate way too check really. if you don't know when it was last changed i'd say just drain it and replace.
Always ran mine on light gear oil, think it's 500ml but ill check in my manual if you need.

I run my mtx at 33:1 on premix which is 150ml of oil to 5 litres of petrol.
Hope this helps.

Rick

hi,
why are you running it pre-mix?
doesnt it have the oil pump fitted? (has someone removed it?)
look under the left cover for oil tank.
remove engine casing to check oil pump. (you should be able to see the oil pump control cable disapear into a hole on the engine casing)
cheers,
GAZ
