rs 125 2005

Me and boss put new clutch plates, springs, friction plate and pressure plate together.

Any ideas?

We used the haynes manual and all seems correct according to them but obviously not lol.

The oil has been changed because we used something to thick.

Thanks

My guess would be that the clutch is operated by a cam on the inside of the clutch cover, and you've put it together with the cam in the wrong place. There's often some cunningly disguised index marks you need to line up.

I agree with that, it's probably upside down!

Unfortunately not fixed. We had a look at it and it is built correctly. Any other ideas please? Thanks

It does sound like the release mechanism has been fitted backwards.

Hi

RS125 clutch works with a mechanism bolted to the inside of the clutch cover. This rotates on 3 ball bearings that go into holes that slope in gently from one side, so as the mechanism rotates the balls move on the slope and so move it in and out.

Only thing I can think of is that it has been put back in ~60 degrees out.

All the best

Keith
