 |
|
Evenin all. Got my AR back on the road now, and just in time for this amazing weather. All is well with it, apart from how difficult it is to get neutral. When the engines not running, it slips in not a problem, but when i'm riding, i cant find neutral at all. Its either 1st or 2nd Whenever i do find neutral, its whenever i dont want it, as in when i'm accelerating off from a junction!
Tried adjusting the clutch cable, to the point of it slipping under load, but no better, and no worse.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks all!

thought about that, and it is only £22 for a full set, but 1)clutch doesnt slip, and accelerates brilliantly, and 2)thats £22 less for my R6 |

thats what i first thought. Had the casing off, and checked selector forks, clutch housing etc. All seem true and tight. I went through all the gears by hand, and selects fine, its just when the engines running. I would assume sticky clutch, because when i put it into first from neutral at idle speed, unless i blip the throttle, it stalls the bike
The only thing i did notice is a scoring on the clutch basket, only on 1 section. It was radial, as in its scored whilst rotating, but there is NO filings in the oil, and NO damage to the casing! Must of been rectified by previous owner! |
