6pm it should come through, glad I got a phone that works out of the box and don't have to wait for updates.

The update has systematically rendered my ipod useless! It won't even restore now. Rolling Eyes It failed towards the end of updating and now wont restore. Fantastic.

It's out of warranty, have tried the hard reset, still says connect to iTunes.

The most gutting thing? I paid £5.99 for this update. Rolling Eyes

It's working fine on my ipod, despite the fact I didn't pay a penny. The spotlight thingy looks quite handy but there don't seem to be any drastic changes. Push apps should be good when they start to turn up though.

i think its more noticable on the iphone the small changes that make a big differences (like seeing if its the mobile or home number that called in Missed Calls for one person with 2 numbers saved!)

copy and paste works well too Very Happy

Well, done mine last night too. No problems at all doing the update.

Few very small differences but nothing to write home about. Overall I think it was alot of hype over nothing really. It's made no drastic changes.

I doubt i'll ever use the copy and paste funciton, cant see where it would be useful?! Or why I'd want to search the whole phone. Forwarding text messages should have been a standard feature in the first place, as should picture messaging.

Basically this update is just to put the features in that should have been there in the first place. Or rather fix their major screw up when it was first released.

Be nice to see if the battery really does last any longer too!

Overall, I'm not impressed at all.

Thumbs Up

I used the copy and paste last night actually, needed to have an address of an apartment in majorca im staying in during july, and the address (about 6 lines of it) was emailed to my inbox, so instead of having to trawl through emails to find it when i needed it, i copied it into Notes Smile

saved typing it all out!

Very Happy Thumbs Up

Still, doesn't change the fact its only put in the basic feature they should have included in the first place.

Spotlight search is awesome!

It makes the phone so much quicker to use! I just start typing the name of the app I wanna use then it pops up and you click on it! - or wanna listen to a certain track - bingo your straight there - or search emails from a particular person. It's great! Thumbs Up

Landscape SMS keyboard is good for long sms's!

According to the ever helpful official Apple forum my error code means I have to go to apple to sort my touch out. Rolling Eyes

Although it appears that my error code has been happening for a lot of people and it only occurs on Windows machines.

Did it just the other night.

Watched a vid on youtube to see what it was all about first.

Alot of the additions aren't immediately obvious and you have to search for them.

Never had a prob with the phone in the first place but nice to have some of the new adds.
