What is your favourite film and why? I want justifications and solid reasons.


Mine is True Romance has been for about 4/5 years now.

Directed by Tony Scott and written by Quentin Tarantino, (There is a version directed by Tarantino in Pulp Fiction Style.)

It has an amazing Cast and a brilliant story, it has comedy, action, romance, gangsters and Kung Fu Films!

The music is amazing done by Hans Zimmer,

I love how when I watch it I feel like I'm in Japan. I can relate to being in a city alone with nothing much to do. I can feel the connection between the characters. I love the way it's filmed - seeing what they see, so you feel like you're there. Love it!

It was a hard enough decision to choose Voodoo People as my top track, but it won the day, because it doesn't matter what mood I'm in, I can always listen to it.

I just love the whole claustrophobic atmosphere of the jungle, and the massive tension that John McTiernan builds up in the film.

It's also gory, has big guns, explosions, and some great one liners

Probably Pulp Fiction, closely followed by Star Wars a new hope.

Pulp fiction is just an enjoyable movie. It has depth, but its not too arty. It has violence but its not too gory, and it has a LOT of humour.

Star wars is just the original and best. All the others feel a bit like pale imitations IMO.

V for Vendetta and the Matrix are also very good as they make you think about the status quo instead of blindly accepting it.

at the time matrix, hard boiled, and fight club, were pretty amazing

however films that were completely revolutionary at the time, dont tend to have the same impact at a later date

there are a lot of good films, but not many that are really wow

of recent films, id say the wrestler was pretty close to wow
