Hello to all,

I have had to buy a new barrel for my honda nsr 125 f and i found that my new barrel is a gilardoni 2 and my arigonall is a gilardoni 1 is there any difference between the two or is juust a up to date barrel ?.

There is a difference between the 2. From memory, they used different suppliers for the barrels, and all machined slightly differently on the bore (as in 1,000 of a inch), so pistons were matched to barrals by numbers 1-4. A Number 1 barral requires a number 1 piston etc. With so many aftermarket suppliers around, you will be hard pushed to find a perfect match, so i would just go for a standard setup with your barral and a std size piston (assuming your barral hasnt been re-bored)

not at all Smile just buy the correct dia piston, and stick it in. You may be a couple thou out, but if you run it in properly, you may only lose 2-3 psi of pressure. Not a major loss
