Hi miss nsr,

your best bet would be to download and print out the owners manual. click here to download it.

Heres some basics:

Starting:
Put the key in the ignition and turn to 'on'. Press the black starter button on the right side of the handlebars next to the throttle. If it will not start, try choke, and check it is not in gear, the engine cut button is not pushed in. Choke is usually needed to start when the engine is cold (like if you leave it overnight). Pull the choke out (below the petrol tank on the left hand side) and start the engine. When the revs begin to drop towards 1500rpm, turn the choke off.

Fuel:
Use standard unleaded fuel (economy 95ron or premium/optimax 97ron). To fill, lift the flap on the fuel filler, put the key in and turn. To close, push down hard on the filler cap and turn key.

Oil & water:
You need to check 2 types of oil. Most importantly is 2 stroke oil. Get the allan key from the toolkit that comes with the bike, and hinge open the fuel tank by undoing the bolt at the front right side of the tank just behind the handlebars/yoke. Remove the bolt and the tank will lift up. There is a bar to support the tank - clip it on.
The 2stroke oil tank is at the front right of the bike (marked oil, lol) You will need to fill this probably every 4-6 tanks of petrol, but check it frequently. Buy fully-synthetic 2 stroke oil, most petrol stations and motorcycle shops have it.
While you are there, check the water level in the 'coolant' tank. Keep this topped up, although it should barely ever need touching.
The other oil is gearbox oil. Stand the bike straight up (get someone to hold or sit on it) and look down the very bottom right side of the bike just behind the fairing you will see a small window just smaller than a 2p coin, with the lines 'min' and 'max'. (you can see a pic by clicking HERE) If it is near or below minimum, you can top up the oil by following this guide on nsr125.com (CLICK HERE)

Gears:
The nsr has 6 gears, in the order 1 - N - 2 - 3 - 4 -5 - 6. Neutral is a bit of a pain to find at first, but you should be shown all that on your CBT.

Storage:
Under the seat there is a small tray for storage. To get to it, find the keyhole on the left side of the bike below the seat and rear fairing, put the key in and turn it , and pull down on the black level at the rear of the lock while lifting the seat upwards and backwards. To replace the seat, lock up the lock and push the seat forward and down.

Anything else u need to know, just ask. Everyone on here is very helpful.

Have fun and enjoy the NSR.

Lee, could you post that message in the FAQ forum as well - some good info in there for new NSR owners.
