I'm wanting to replace the standard bulbs with halogen bulbs. So i went to the honda dealer and they told me to get halogen bulbs (H4) but when i came to fitting them they have a different connection? Help

What type of connection do they have? The standard Honda NSR one's have a 'pop and twist' connection, I'm assuming these are screw connections?

the honda bulbs are bosch fittings...

i'm not sure if you can actually get halogen in the bosch fitting bulbs, the max you can get in there is 12/35/35, where the nsr standard is 12/25/25.. and they aren't that bright standard!

Have a look in M&P.

Be careful when putting in higher wattage bulbs.
They can draw more power = blown fuses and melted wires.
They produce more heat = melted/warped head lights.

I've got a feeeling that the main prob with higher power bulbs on the NSR is that they can drain the battery.

I think other poeple have done this (luke?) but the generator doesn't make enough power, so the battery slowly dies.

Hi

Halogen bulbs of the same wattage as the normal bulbs should pull the same power but produce more light. Melting the headlights would not be a good idea Confused

All the best
